They pull a shutout in challenge 30, 32-0, among other great feats.

4/24: The Elite does the unthinkable when Carnski set a new PAL-only WR on Maian A. The 1:46 total time mark is broken! This time most members are even more sure than 1:45 just isn't going to happen.

4/27: The PAL players continue to find new strats and set new WRs on stages throughout the month, until the calls for a ranking without them grew stronger and stronger. Finally Snap puts an end to the complaints by making the NTSC-only rankings.

2002

March

April

4/8: Thanks to Derek Clark, the new, official home for the Elites opens up at the-elite.net.

4/29: The big 1:41:00 time mark is shattered as Dark Avenger posts all his saved times to once again take the lead. However, this time he really blows the entire league out of the water by becoming first in every possible ranking. Members are evenly divided as to whether that huge 1:40 will ever be snapped. After all, it took 6 months and 4 days to drop from 1:42 to 1:41, making it by far the slowest minute cut in Elite history.

May

5/13: The 300 member mark is reached!

July

7/18: As the week-long gaming party (consisting of Paragon, Disco, Zeebo, PDlich, Derek Clark, and others) in Illinois breaks up, the participants release all their whoarded times. Disco explodes for 600+ points, jumping from 8th into the lead. His new GE/PD times (including :15 Chicago A!) make him the first man in history to hold both championships at one time. Paragon pulls ahead of Phil to stay in second, while Derek shots from 12th to 6th in GE. It is agreed to make whoarding illegal from that point on.

7/21: The message board reaches the 1,000 member mark! This goal is reached just 5 days after the board celebrated its two year birthday.

September

9/9: The updating program changes hands for the fourth time in history, as Zeebo passes the reigns on to Bryan Youse.

October

10/26: The 3:00:00 total combined GE + PD mark is broken! Karl Jobst is the man to get the final second with a new PD WR. The GE trailblazing of come-back champ Wouter Jansen and rookie phenomenon Bryan Bosshart is what made it all possible.

November

11/10: Karl Jobst de-thrones Disco, becoming the sixth man in history to hold the title of PD Points Champion. Just four days later, he also grabs the top spot in Time, ending the nearly 6 month reign of Dark Avenger.

11/18: Karl's Attack Ship times are enough to push the Elite below the much anticipated 100 minute mark, of 1:40:00. Widespread rioting ensues.

11/29: SnapDragon's greatest PD accomplishment is finally equaled, as Karl becomes only the second man to hold every single Agent WR at one time.

11/30: ...But not for long, as GE wunderkid Bryan Bosshardt comes up with an insanity strat to make the single most sought after WR in PD, :26 War Agent, a reality. This put an end to the incredible 830 day reign of :27 on the oldest WR page.
